Remove the speed humps in St Neots Road that just damage the suspension systems of all vehicles forced to negotiate them. Chicanes would have been the ideal solution along with a ban on lorries entering Sandy from the A1 at the entry to St Neots Road. These vehicles bounce along our road causing our properties to shake.
Commuter traffic avoiding the A1 roundabout by travelling along St Neots Road through the High Street to New Road to rejoin the A1 should be prevented from doing so and chicanes would be the ideal solution.
It is often impossible for residents to leave their homes in their cars due to the congestion along St Neots Road as the photographs on the SG19 Group website reveals.
