Speeding vehicles and HGVs are a common nuisance in West Road. Vehicles turning in from St Neots Road often accelerate as soon as they enter the lovely straight West Road and they far exceed the 30mph limit. HGVs frequently use West Road as a short cut to the A1, which to my mind in a residential street full of families is extremely dangerous. If they are not making a delivery, they have no place in being here. I would therefore like to see:
1. HGVs barred from West Road (except for deliveries eg house removals, Argos, etc).
2. Speed reduction to 20mph.
3. Some form of speed limitation street furniture installed such as chicanes similar to those in use in Gamlingay.
Let us not wait until a child is killed.
